
Homer Electric Association members will be electing
candidates to the board of directors as part of the 2008 Annual
Meeting. This year’s Annual Meeting will take place on
May 1 at Soldotna High School.
There are three director seats on
the nine-member board that will be on the ballot.
Homer Electric directors are elected by district, with
members voting only for candidates in their respective
districts. Click

In District 1 (Kenai –Nikiski),
the candidates are Ruth
Fitzpatrick of Kenai and David Thomas of Kenai.
In District 2 (Soldotna –
Sterling),
the candidates are Hugh
Chumley of Sterling, Ed Oberts of Soldotna, and Sonja
Redmond of Soldotna.
In District 3 (Kasilof – south
Kachemak Bay),
incumbent Mike Pate of
Homer is running unopposed.

Ballots will be mailed out to Homer Electric
members on March 28. Mail-in ballots
must be returned to Homer Electric by 5 pm on
April 30.
Members can also vote in person at the Annual Meeting
at Soldotna High School at 6 pm on May 1.
