Board Experience

I have never been on the HEA Board.

I do have experience with other organizations such as:

  • 3 appointed terms on the Soldotna City Council
  • Board of Directors Kenai Peninsula Hockey Association

Work Experience

President of G & S Construction since 1976.

As the President of G & S Construction, and completing numerous major projects on the peninsula, I have gained a lot of experience and developed a broad knowledge base of the construction industry. My expertise is in all aspects of construction, land, building and project development and I possess a strong but fair-minded management skills. My track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, and wide-ranging experience with local, state, and federal governments should be a benefit to the board. Working closely with HEA on several projects provides me an experience to understand some of their specific processes and requirements.

Main Goal

As a long-term member of HEA, I have a broad understanding of the evolution of our co-op. I’ve been the president of G & S Construction since 1976 and have been actively involved in numerous major building projects on the Peninsula that required services from HEA. While developing several building and land ventures I’ve got hands-on experience with HEA and an understanding of their procedures. I’ll work and advocate for a continued streamlining of these processes.

Alternative and renewal energy sources are becoming part of our co-ops considerations and I can assure members I’ll take a conservative approach to all different energy solutions. This means a careful and realistic analysis of their costs and benefits to our members and consumers. It’s critically important that we understand the long and short-term effects on consumers’ electrical service and associated rates. I’m excited to get the opportunity to serve on the board of directors and would appreciate your support.
