Our Union employees’ compensation and terms of employment are negotiated with Local 1547 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and set out in our Collective Bargaining Agreement. For non-union employees, wage ranges are adjusted annually to reflect the current market in the electric industry, and merit increases are based on performance.

The City of Kenai is a thriving coastal community situated at the mouth of the world famous Kenai River. When Kenai was established in 1791, the Dena’ina Athabascan Indian Village was already a thriving community located on the bluff overlooking Cook Inlet. Kenai is known for its exceptional fishing, wildlife, and abundant natural resources and is easily accessible by highway (150 miles south of Anchorage), a flight into the Kenai Municipal Airport, or via the commercial and public dock.
Soldotna is centrally located on the Kenai Peninsula, at the crossroads of the region’s major highways and along the banks of the world-famous Kenai River. The City is home to several of the borough’s largest employers, with significant economic activity in the health care, education, retail, entertainment, and tourism sectors. Soldotna is located within close proximity to two-thirds of the Borough population, and has become a center for commercial and recreational opportunities.
