Candidates Certified to Appear on 2024 Ballot for Elections to Serve on the Board of Directors of Homer Electric Association, Inc. (HEA)
HEA’s election qualification period for the 2024 Election to the Board of Directors closed at 5:00 PM March 1, 2024. Five candidates qualified and were certified to appear on the 2024 Ballot as follows:
In District 1 (Kenai – Nikiski - parts of Soldotna area):
- Charles M. (Mike) Chenault
In District 2 (Soldotna – Sterling – Kasilof):
- Crystal Schwartz
- Robert K. Wall
In District 3 (Kasilof south to Kachemak Bay area):
- Louis (Louie) Flora
- Michael L. Jones
Starting March 29, 2024, HEA Members will have the opportunity to vote for a candidate to serve on HEA’s Board of Directors within the Member’s district of residence. A ballot may be cast in one of three ways: (1) by returning a mail-in ballot; (2) through HEA’s online voting portal; or (3) in person at HEA’s Annual Meeting. Results of the 2024 Election will be announced at the Annual Meeting of the Members on May 2, 2024, at Homer High School, 600 E. Fairview Avenue, Homer, Alaska.
