Candidates Set for HEA’s 2026 Board of Directors Election
The nomination period for Homer Electric Association’s 2026 Board of Directors election closed at 5 p.m. today, March 6, and six candidates have been certified for inclusion on the ballot:
- District #1 (Kenai-Nikiski-parts of Soldotna):
- James “Jim” Duffield II
- Patrick Parker
- District #2 (Soldotna-Sterling-Kasilof area):
- Dan Green
- Mitchell (Mitch) Michaud
- District #3 (Kasilof-Homer-Seldovia area):
- Peter Crimp
- Bob Day
Starting April 3, HEA members will have the opportunity to vote for a board candidate within their district of residence. A ballot may be cast in one of three ways:
- Through HEA's online voting portal,
- Through a mail-in ballot,
- In person at HEA’s Annual Meeting.
Online voting election credentials will be emailed to all members on April 3, unless the member has previously opted to receive a paper ballot via mail. Members preferring a paper ballot may opt-in to receive one by visiting the HEA website or calling the Homer office at (907) 235-8551 or the Kenai office at (907) 283-5831.
Results of the 2026 election will be announced at the HEA's Annual Meeting of the Members on May 7, 2026, at Soldotna High School, 425 W Marydale Ave, Soldotna, AK 99669.
