HEA is determined in keeping members informed about power outages. We will also provide information for large planned outages. A planned outage occurs when we perform line maintenance or upgrades to our system. HEA reminds members to stay away from all downed lines and to call our office immediately. If you should have any questions regarding an outage, please contact our office.
Experiencing an Outage?
View the Homer Electric Outage Map to see the affected outage area(s), the number of affected customers, and the duration of the latest outage. The outage map is also available on HEA’s mobile app on iPhone and Android devices.
If you don’t see your outage location highlighted on the map, please report it to our Outage Line!
Report a Power Outage
When an outage occurs, restoration of service is our priority. Here are the steps to follow when you experience a power outage:
- Check fuses or circuit breakers.
- Call a neighbor to see if they have power.
- Report outage to your HEA offices by calling 1 (888) 868-8243 (1-888-8OUTAGE within the state of Alaska). Or call (907) 235-8551 or (907) 283-5831 and press #2. This will directly forward you to HEA’s Outage Reporting System.
Our crews will restore service as soon as they are able. Remember it is important, and your responsibility, to protect your sensitive electronic equipment. Please be patient.
