Allowing bids that include a financing component ensures that our local membership has additional tools to submit competitive bids that are evaluated based on the quality of bid, rather than those based solely on bidders that may have the most cash on hand. HEA has a duty to maximize cooperative assets, but by allowing successful bidders to use financing to purchase one or more properties, HEA can provide local members with additional mechanisms to submit competitive bids.

No. We encourage interested bidders to register to bid by submitting a Bidder Registration Form and identifying the properties of interest prior to submitting a bid, as once a bidder has registered, the bidder will obtain access to files related to the property or properties identified in the Bidder Registration Form.
Information about each property can be found in the Bid Packet for each property, by reviewing the backup files for each property or properties in HEA Property File (once registered) or by submitting questions in writing to PropertyBid@HomerElectric.com. Additionally, registered bidders may receive an addendum providing additional information for certain properties, if appropriate.
