Work Experience
As President of G & S Construction since 1976, I’ve completed numerous major projects across the peninsula and developed extensive experience and a broad understanding of the construction industry. I’ve managed the construction of multiple schools, fire stations, emergency services facilities, major water and sewer plant expansions, along with many other public and private infrastructure projects. My expertise spans all aspects of construction, land development, building, and project management. I bring a strong yet fair-minded approach to leadership and a proven record of delivering projects on time and within budget. My extensive work with local, state, and federal agencies has given me valuable insight into government processes and accountability. Having worked closely with HEA on several projects, I understand many of their specific procedures and operational requirements. Combined with three years of service on the HEA board, I believe my knowledge and experience enable me to effectively represent and advocate for all HEA members.
Main Goal
As a current board member, I am committed to making fair, practical, and fiscally responsible decisions, always mindful of how those decisions impact our members’ monthly electric bills. Providing reliable power is increasingly complex, especially in today’s economic and regulatory environment. Over the past three years, additional financial pressures stemming from state legislation have added to those challenges. I am particularly concerned about unnecessary state-mandated regulations, and I believe we must carefully evaluate and monitor them to limit potential cost increases for our ratepayers. Staying focused on the financial consequences of every major decision is essential. At the same time, factors such as natural gas supply, renewable energy mandates, and market volatility continue to create uncertainty. I want our members to know that I remain committed to protecting your interests, controlling costs wherever possible, and ensuring that fiscal responsibility guides every vote I cast. As a fiscal conservative, you can count on me to prioritize and safeguard the interests of our ratepayers.
